A Thirsty trip to Ireland June 6-11th 2025
The 30-98 Register is pleased to announce a Vauxhall Thirsty trip to Ireland for 2025. The event will be in two parts: The vintage IVVCC Gordon Bennett run June 6-8th (3 nights), and a dedicated Vauxhall tour June 9-11th (3 nights). This has been planned together with local Irish owners, 8-10 of whom will be participating on the event. You can sign up to one or both events......
Travelling to Ireland
The IVVCC Gordon Bennett run is based at The Mount Wolseley Hotel (https://www.mountwolseley.ie),Tullow, Co. Carlow, Ireland R93C9H0.
Please book your own ferries, to arrive by 2pm for lunch on Friday June 6th. The hotel is close to both Rosslare and Dublin ports.
Part One: The IVVCC Gordon Bennett run
The Gordon Bennett entry form is here: https://www.ivvcc.ie/gordon-bennett-2025. The organisers are expecting a bunch of 30-98 entries from UK, but you will need to complete the registration form etc. The ‘Competing’ entry is a regularity if you prefer to ’Touring’.
Accommodation for June 6-8th (3 nights)
After completing the entry form on the website, there are hotel details including rates. Please make your own reservations. There are also a number of hotel-owned private houses in the grounds for rent: negotiate these directly with the hotel. Or stay elsewhere and travel in for the event if you prefer.
Part two: Thirsty tour June 9-11th (3 nights)
Following the IVVCC Gordon Bennett event, this will start on the 9th June 2025 leaving from the Mount Wolseley Hotel at approximately 9.00 a.m. on the Monday morning for what promises to be a very enjoyable three days of vintage Vauxhall motoring. Various stops of historic and scenic interest are planned. There will be 8-10 local Irish Vauxhalls with us as our hosts.
Please make your own booking with each hotel ASAP - the rooms are held until the end of February. There are a limited number of places for UK cars, so be quick!
